DAISY’S DREAM

The dream of sharing Grandma’s delectable recipes came to life eleven years ago over a breakfast conversation at Tiong Bahru Market. Daisy Tan started Daisy’s Dream at the age of 60 and decided that this was going to be her retirement job. What a journey it has been, serving home-cooked Singaporean Peranakan favorites with love and dedication to quality and authenticity.  Her dream was to open her own restaurant and serve Ngoh Hiang, her mother's secret recipe made with minced pork and shrimp, crunchy water chestnuts, and sweet onion wrapped in bean curd and fried. With the encouragement of her family, the restaurant became a reality. It started as a stall in a hawker center and moved to a full-service restaurant in 2012. The menu highlights classic Nyonya dishes like Curry Chicken and Laksa, a signature coconut curry rice noodle dish, and Nasi Lemak. Today Daisy’s son, Roy, runs the day-to-day operations and her daughter, actress Selena Tan, is part owner.
