PADI D’ NYC

In 2014 childhood friends Hashim Ali and Sulaiman Rahman combined forces to open Padi@Bussorah, a Malay restaurant centered around communal dining. Their two-story, full service restaurant in Singapore invites friends and family to gather around large platters of food. The New York Padi showcases signatures from the Singapore menu like satay served with homemade peanut sauce, beef rendang, and mee rebus: a unique yellow egg noodle soup with a glorious sauce of blended dried baby shrimp, fermented soybean paste, herbs, spices and garnishes on top. This is the brand’s second location.
